This residential project involved a complete overhaul of the main living space of a beautiful 1950s mid century home. The challenge was to design a space that gave the homeowners a contemporary design that better aligned with their personal style while retaining as much mid century charm from the bones of the home as possible. With layers of stone, a grand custom fluted fireplace, and updated furniture and fixtures, this home feels elevated without sacrificing originality. Featuring unique one of a kind light fixtures made by Canadian lighting designer Randy Zieber, and original paintings from local Vancouver artists Rubeena Ratcliffe and Zoe Pawlak, this space is one that will once again stand the test of time.
